Cannot resize a MS-DOS application window due to enabled mouse applications.
Cause:
This is a design feature of Windows 95. Enabling the mouse's 'Exclusive Mode' option for an MS-DOS-based application causes the sizing controls to disappear. The window can be controlled only via the keyboard.
Solution:
Select 'Properties' for the DOS application. Disable 'Exclusive mode'.
1) (Optional) If the DOS application is running full screen, press ALT+TAB to minimize the application and display its button on the Taskbar.
2) Right-click the DOS application's button on the Taskbar. (A pop-up menu appears.)
3) Select 'Properties'. (The DOS application's properties dialog box appears.)
4) Click the 'Misc' tab. (The 'Misc' tabbed page appears.)
5) Clear the 'Exclusive mode' check box in the 'Mouse' group.
'Misc' page
6) Click 'Apply'.
7) Click 'OK'.
8) Click the application's button on the Taskbar to return to the DOS application window.
9) (Optional) If the application is running full screen, press ALT+ENTER to run it in a window.
10) Resize the DOS application window.
